Uppalapati Krishnam Raju passed away on Sunday at 11 September 2022 and expired at 3.16 am due to cardiac arrest. Krishnam was treated at a private hospital. Hospital says Raju was admitted to the hospital on August 5 and he was suffering from post-COVID-19 ailments.

He entered in entered Tollywood in 1966 and began his film career with the Telugu movie ‘Chilaka Gorinka 1966. Raju has worked in over 180 films in his fifty-year career.
