Who Are Nicole Mann Parents?

Nicole is a NASA astronaut and American test pilot. She is a pilot for the F/A-18 Hornet and a Stanford, US Naval Test Pilot School, and US Naval Academy graduate. She has flown more than 2,500 hours in 25 different types of aircraft, 200 carrier landings, and 47 combat missions over Iraq and Afghanistan.

Nicole Mann was raised in Penngrove, California, and was born on June 27, 1977, to Howard and Victoria Aunapu. Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park, California, awarded Mann a diploma in 1995. She studied at the US Naval Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering there in 1999.

In the 1920s, her grandpa Helmuth Aunapu left Estonia and joined the US military as an engineer. Mann completed her training as an astronaut in 2015, and in August 2018 she was assigned to Boe-CFT, the Boeing CST-100 Starliner’s first crewed test flight.

However, she was later reassigned to SpaceX Crew-5, making history as the first female commander of a NASA Commercial Crew Program launch.

Nichol was chosen in 2013 to be one of the eight astronauts in NASA Astronaut Group 21.

She completed her training in 2015, and since then she has held positions as the Chief of Exploration’s Assistant and a T-38 Talon Safety and Training Officer.

She was assigned to Boe-CFT, the Boeing CST-100 Starliner’s first crewed test flight, in August 2018.

Nicole is a candidate to become the first woman on the Moon as part of the crewed lunar landing currently planned for 2025 and is also undergoing training for the international Artemis mission.

Nicole Mann Husband, Marriage Life 

Nicole has a kid with her husband, Travis R. Mann. She stated that she and her son frequently sit outside while gazing at the moon in a December 2020 interview with National Geographic.
